The new All Saints Church
Here is the latest news about our exciting plans to build the next phase of the new Church and Parish Centre. Building work started July 2007 with the new Church opening for the first time in April 2008 and then consecrated by Bishop Nigel in June 2008.

Our aim is to eventually replace St Francis House, with a brand new parish centre. Although worship is now in the new Church, St Francis House remains in use for other activities. Our fundraising in the first seven years has been hard work, but encouraging, and has raised over £833,175 for the Building Fund. Thus we were able to move forward and complete the first phase - the building of the new All Saints Church.

Floor space plan - new church

Our new church has a seating capacity of 200 people, with entrance foyer, toilet accomodation, drinks kitchen and storage space. The building is located adjacent to St Francis House and the phased development allows for the continued use of St Francis House, as can be seen on this more detailed plan.

Everyone is welcome into the friendly atmosphere of our 9:30 am Sunday Eucharist Service. Younger members meet with leaders in groups appropriate to their age or can stay with their families in church. Times and days of our other normal services can be found here.

Do come and join us in this exciting project!!

It's for everyone in the community!!

The final building phase is a centre not only for our many church based groups but also for community groups such as local residents and tenants groups, pre-school and other children's activities, youth and senior citizens groups, day services and adult education, the library service etc.

St Francis House

The current plans allow for future phased development as and when funds become available and to meet contemporary needs. In both phases we are aiming to maintain a high standard of specification for building quality and materials used, bearing in mind that we are replacing the original parish church. We are also now consulting widely and seeking further funding for the refurbishment of St Francis House and its new use as a centre for use by all across our community.

Please let us have your comments about future needs and provision.
