A new group was inaugurated on 30 September 2008.. The group's purpose is simple; it is to work in partnership with the All Saints Parochial Church Council (PCC) for the improvement and future maintenance of the old churchyard.
Membership is open to all who would like to see the churchyard become a real asset to the community:
- a place where the departed can be buried and their memories honoured
- a beautiful and tranquil open space to be enjoyed by both local people and visitors seeking a particular grave
- an area that is easily and safely accessible to all
Regular working parties meet to tidy up the churchyard, cut grass and prune overgrown trees and bushes. These are generally the last Saturday of the month from 9:30 onwards and any help you can give would be most welcome.
If you want to know more about the Friends of All Saints Churchyard and how you could become involved then please contact the vicar, Rev'd Stuart Millington (contact details here).
